Three.... is the magic number.

Instead of tearing down the houses on the property and starting over, Carrie and I made the choice to restore and remodel each of house from the ground up. I’ll spare you the ‘before’ photos, but encourage you to check out the newly remodelled ones.

We did want to keep with the ‘old Texas’ vibe that the places seems to have, like the massive, lush live oak trees, lots of space to run around in, church bells in the distance. While each decision we made on the restorations was made with an ecological mindset, there were a number of upgrades that will have to wait. Verde Camp is very much a work in progress that we will continue developing and updating in an environmentally conscious way. If you’ve got ideas for us, please don’t hesitate to mention them… we’d love to hear from you.

Update: I’ve gotten a couple of calls from some solar folks in town. If anyone’s got opinions on solar power, would love to hear them. Also, been looking at for use here at Verde. I use them for when I travel, and was curious if anyone has had successes with them before.
