Verde Camp

SuperBooking allows guests to book up to 1 year in advance.

What You Get:

• Fewer Headaches. Knowing your stay at Verde Camp is booked will lower your stress level (at least a little).
• Convenience. Feel good about where you’re staying in Austin is finalized.
• Security. Getting your stay booked well in advance helps you make the plans you need to make with confidence.

We’re still polishing up the finer points, but here’s what’s significantlly different about a SuperBooking:

• Bookings are final. Any changes or cancellations result in a 50% cancellation fee for the dates affected.
• There’s an additional fee of $25 per house, per night. When working on the pricing, we use the projected cost of the houses during the dates that a guest is requesting. Prices are subject to change.
• Payment is due upon booking. (This is true always at Verde Camp).

The goal is to give guests the opportunity to book earlier than our normal booking time of 3 months. This is balanced for us in that we get the security of knowing that you won’t bail on us and that all the work we’ll do doesn’t turn into a big poop sandwich. Fact: Nobody likes a poop sandwich.

Why is there a 3 month booking policy to begin with?

Scale is the short answer. Often, there is an expectation that Verde Camp is set up like a larger hotel chain with hundreds of beds, infinite customer support resources, and marketing budgets to get (as Marriot puts it) ‘heads in beds’ … we’re small, and our scale is very small compared to these guys.

Once we book a guest in a house, we start turning people away.

We’ve found prior to 3 months, bookings tend to (understandably) have more problems, issues, and cancellations which can ultimately lead to a bad experience with Verde Camp. Our goal is to create an amazing guest house experience, and change the rules of what it means to stay overnight, over weeks, or over months in Austin.
